Southern Highlands Motorcycle Centre was founded in 2004 by current owners Paul & Trudy Scriven.
Paul originated from the small coastal village of Port Fairy in south-western of Victoria, while Trudy is originally from Sydney. The pair met at secondary school when Trudy's family was transferred for work commitments.

Paul's foray in the motorcycle industry began as a mechanic in 1984, when he undertook an apprenticeship with Garry and Wendy Roe at Roe Motorcycles in Warrnambool, Victoria.

While Paul learned the tricks of the trade, Trudy studied a Bachelor of Acquired Health at Bendigo University. At the completion of Paul's apprenticeship and Trudy's university degree, they travelled to Sydney for a fresh start.

Paul continued with his passion for motorcycles, joining Trevor and Margaret Hunter as a Service Advisor and Sales Assistant at the iconic Stoney Creek Motorcycles.
It was during this 10-year period with Stoney Creek that Paul and Trudy decided to venture into their own retail business, moving to the Southern Highlands in 2001 to make their dream a reality.

Southern Highlands Motorcycle Centre was proudly opened with Kawasaki motorcycles as a sole franchise in July 2004.

The business quickly surpassed early expectations, receiving a number of industry accolades including Kawasaki Australia's Ichiban Award.
Drawing such praise highlighted to Paul and Trudy that a locally-owned motorcycle shop concentrating on customer care could thrive in the competitive marketplace.
Their honest, simple business strategy soon attracted interest from other manufacturers, and before too long there was a need to expand the Sales area to allow other brands the opportunity to come on board.

KTM Australia had the products to compliment Southern Highlands Motorcycles and the decision was made to acquire Camden Bike & Power's KTM franchise in December 2010.
The quality of KTM's off-road motorcycles has seen an encouraging growth in sales, and this will continue as they push forward in the Australian marketplace.
Paul and Trudy's success was culminated most recently by the acquisition of Honda MPE franchise in April 2011. Australia's number one motorcycle distributor, Honda's unrivalled reputation for reliability has proved a worthy addition to our product range.

But don't take our word for it! Please come and experience the honesty and reliable service at Southern Highlands Motorcycle for yourself. We hope to see you in-store sometime soon.
